March Update & April Goals

New month, new goals to further along my publishing journey! The goals I set for myself last month have met their due date so it’s time to take stock of how I did. I had some complications due to my day job, which left me less accomplished than usual, but since I was trying to work ahead for Shadow Herald’s release in May, I’m still on track. This month;

• I fully reformatted Shadow Herald‘s ebook, paperback, and cover layout. Updates include an acknowledgement of my proofreader, nicer dropcaps in the ebook, and a full glossary and translations section in the back of both versions (not necessary to enjoy the story, but a delightful bit of extra content nonetheless!)

• I was not able to stock Shadow Herald on non-Amazon sites . . . yet.

• I was not able to complete the video ad. I’ve concluded that, due to my inexperience with video as a medium, I may need some time to work on this. The ad will go on the backburner until Shadow Herald is released!

• I worked on email prep for contacting reviewers, but I haven’t made contact yet.

• While I didn’t complete any new chapters of Frostbitten Prophet, I did complete its cover, and I wrote more for it and several other future projects of mine.

• I had a spare moment to revise and clean up the “My Books” section of this website. Everything looks much nicer now that there are cute mini covers to look at, and teasers for my other projects.

Because of the delay, my April goals are essentially the same as my March goals, sans the book formatting. Next month, I aim to;

• Finally put Shadow Herald on the shelves of other sites, such as Barnes & Noble, Apple Books, Kobo Books. Again, not everyone likes having to buy from Amazon!

• Contact reviewers . . . and possibly write an article or two for some LGBTQ+ book blogs. Depends on a couple different factors, so we’ll see.

• Make progress on the video ad for Shadow Herald, and experiment with still image ads.

• And, if I have time, add a few more chapters in Frostbitten Prophet‘s current draft, or to my other projects!

If you’d like to support me as a creator, then you can do so by buying me a Ko-fi. Thank you, and have a lovely, relaxing, productive month of your own!
