Merry meet everyone! I’m delighted to announce that I’ve finished updating the cover, EPUB, and paperback PDF for Shadow Herald‘s May release. I’ve come a long way since last March, when I wasn’t sure how or when I would publish at all at all, last September, when I was tentatively setting up my website for the first time, and last December, when I realized that I needed to rework the release if I wanted a final product I was proud of.
And now I do have a final product that I’m proud of!
To celebrate, here’s a quick behind-the-scenes peek into what it takes to turn a finished manuscript into a real book;

As I’ve said before, the programs I use to format my books are Scribus for print copy and Sigil for digital. They’re relatively easy to get into — especially if you have prior experience with InDesign or HTML — and they’re both completely free. So if you’re planning on self-publishing or if you’ve taken an interest in book design, give them a try!
And if you like how Shadow Herald looks, then you should know that that the ebook is already available for pre-order on Amazon, and by May 20th the ebook and paperback will be stocked in multiple other locations as well.
Thanks, and have a lovely day!
